A 73ª edição do Emmy elegeu os melhores da TV e do cinema na noite deste domnigo (19). A premiação foi comandada pelo comediante Cedric the Entertainer, astro da série The Neighborhood. Os grandes ganhadores foram Ted Lasso, como Melhor Série de Comédia, The Crown, como Melhor Série de Drama, e O Gambito da Rainha, como Melhor Série Limitada – as duas últimas garantindo nove estatuetas para a Netflix, incluindo categoria técnicas.
Nas categorias de Série de Comédia, Ted Lasso levou Melhor Ator com Jason Sudeikis, Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante com Hannah Waddingham e Melhor Ator Codajuvante com Brett Goldstein. Já Melhor Atriz ficou com Jean Smart, por Hacks.
Em Série de Drama, The Crown levou tods os prêmios de atuação: Olivia Colman foi Melhor Atriz, Josh O’Connor o Melhor Ator, Tobias Menzies, Melhor Ator Codajuvante e Gillian Anderson Melhor Atriz Codajuvante.
Uma das grandes apostas da noite, Michaela Coen não levou Melhor Atriz em Melhor Série Limitada – o prêmio foi para Kate Winslet em Mare of Easttown – mas ganhou como Melhor Roteiro para Série Limita ou Filme para a TV.
